How many of you struggle with presenting your brand online with confidence? When I first started my business, I was so unclear as to what I was doing, how to describe my business, and what to even say to sell my offers. It wasn't until I was able to get clear on my brand that I was able to speak confidently about my business online, let my audience know what to expect from working with me, and had no shame asking for a sale.
So, how can you present your brand online confidently and attract the customers you desire? Two words...brand identity! Your brand identity defines what your business is and how it will be perceived by your audience.
When you are clear on your brand identity, there’s no way you can’t show up successfully in your business. Brand identity will give you clarity on what you offer, who you serve, and how you will market your business. It can be intimidating at first, but there's no turning back once you define your brand.
To get started, I want to share with you 3 easy steps to define your brand identity so you can confidently show up online every single time.
Step 1️: Define your brand mission.
Brand mission communicates the purpose of your brand. Create a statement that outlines the vision of your brand and who you will be serving.
Questions to ask yourself: What is my why? What problem am I solving? How will I create or be the solution?
Step 2️: Define your brand personality.
Defining your brand personality is identifying human characteristics associated with your brand. Create a list of characteristics that convey how you want your audience to perceive your brand (i.e. fun, luxurious, sassy, etc.).
Questions to ask yourself: How do I want people to perceive my brand? If my brand were a person, what would be its personality?
Step 3️: Define your brand voice.
Brand voice is the way you will talk to your audience and identifies your style of communication. Define how your band will communicate with your audience. Learn to speak the language of those you desire to serve.
Questions to ask yourself: How does my ideal customer speak? What verbiage will I use to speak to them?
Once you have completed these steps and answered these questions, you'll be ready to show up online with confidence. You will be able to speak confidently about your business, create content that reflects your brand identity, and attract the customers you desire. Now go and be great!
