When I first entered the world of marketing, the last thing I wanted was to be like everyone else. However, that’s when doubt and comparison started to kick-in. I was constantly comparing myself and looking at what everyone else was doing. Bad idea.

In order for people to see the gifts you have to offer and what sets you apart from the next person is you. Your personality, your story, and your perspective.


You can’t be anyone else or you will be prescribed a counterfeit destiny. A counterfeit destiny is something that wasn’t made for you, but for someone else. You won’t attract the customers you desire and they probably will think your offer is like everyone else’s...because it is.

No matter how many people are selling the same products or serving similar customers, what you have to offer is nothing compared to anyone else. I know it sounds mushy, but it’s true.



Think about it like this, Beyonce' wouldn’t be Beyonce' if she was too busy trying to be Kelly. Why is Beyonce so successful? Because she’s BEYONCE' (Now, how many of you said this? If that was your answer, that shows that being yourself works). She’s being herself and isn’t worried about what everyone else is doing.


Your ideal customers are people, and people are attracted to authenticity. When you share who you are with the world, people will gravitate to you. You will soon find your tribe. Tell your audience why you started your business or decided to offer your products. It will allow them to get to know you better and understand the mission behind your brand on a deeper level. Use your personality, sense of humor, and creativity to woo your audience and watch it grow. It’s your time!
